Glide Capital LLC is an Alternative Investments Platform that provides a solution for wealth managers to create their own portfolio of alternative investments, or structure their own deals in an efficient way.
In this role, you will work closely with the Co-founders and other members of the leadership team to set the strategic direction of the company and drive its growth.
As the COO, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company and ensuring that we are operating at the highest level of efficiency. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing technology and strategies that support the growth of the business while maintaining a focus on risk management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of professionals across multiple functional areas, including operations and technology.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that ensure the company is operating at the highest level of efficiency.
• Identify and assess areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners and service providers, including technology vendors and others (auditors, accountants, legal, tech developers and other service providers).
• Work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies that support the growth of the business.
• Monitor and analyze industry trends and developments to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
• Participate in company’s business decisions to ensure optimal performance and growth.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA or CFA or hedge fund accounting backgrounds are preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the financial industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role similar to the position.
• Strong understanding of hedge fund strategies and financial markets.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing operational policies and procedure.
• Experienced managing risk and compliance in a highly regulated environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their goals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make datadriven decisions.
• Proficient in the industry.
• Possess personal qualities of integrity, good communication and discretion.
• Ability to work independently and develop new systems/continue improving firm processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter and use of technologies and software applications commonly used in our industry.
• Willing to learn and contribute in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Preferably bilingual (English-Spanish)
